This Art Craft First Day Cover bears the block of four 6¢ Anti-Pollution Campaign stamps issued October 23, 1970, and postmarked in San Clemente, California. The se-tenant stamps carry the slogans Save Our Soil, Save Our Cities, Save Our Water, and Save Our Air, each featuring a stylized globe or environmental scene.

The 1970 issue coincided with the first Earth Day and growing national focus on environmental protection. President Richard M. Nixon’s quoted call to repair damage to air, land, and water appears on the cachet, reflecting the era’s shift toward federal pollution-control policy.

The left-side cachet depicts a U.S. outline map over a polluted landscape with waves and industrial haze, produced by the well-known Art Craft firm. The cover is addressed to a San Diego recipient, typical of period FDCs that traveled through the mail.

A solid addition for collectors of 1970s environmental topicals or Art Craft cachets, this example shows clear postmarks and fresh colors.
