This is a 1968 6¢ First Day Cover featuring the Philadelphia Light Horse Flag stamp, postmarked in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1968. The Art Craft cachet depicts the Battle of Princeton with the historic yellow cavalry flag prominently displayed.

The Philadelphia Light Horse Troop, formed in 1774, was one of the earliest American cavalry units and fought in key Revolutionary War engagements including Princeton, Trenton, Brandywine, and Germantown. Their distinctive flag, carried into battle in 1775, is recognized as one of the first American military colors.

The cachet artwork illustrates the troop in action at Princeton, part of Art Craft’s Historic Flags Series. The stamp design reproduces the original flag with its thirteen blue-and-white stripes and central coat of arms.

A fine addition for collectors of Revolutionary War, flag, or Art Craft cachet First Day Covers, this example remains in clean, collectible condition with a clear Pittsburgh postmark.
